Rescue & Sanctuary.

We are a small team, running a private sanctuary focused on providing top quality care and love to horses who have found themselves without a home. 

Our first rescue came home in late 2017, ever since then it has been the goal to set up a functioning rescue & sanctuary.  In the last year, we have been able to make this dream more of a reality. 

Cooperwood Equine Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization located in Cape May Court House, New Jersey. We focus on rescuing and providing a sanctuary for unwanted, abused, or neglected horses that are at risk of entering or are in the slaughter pipeline.
